Processors stress need for new markets for Oregon hazelnuts
Processors say Oregon’s hazelnut industry must develop new markets for the crop and increase “pull” among consumers to ease price fluctuations if acreage keeps expanding.
Over the past 15 years, the state’s hazelnut acreage is estimated to have roughly tripled, to nearly 100,000 acres.
